Decisions Decisions...and I don't mean to sound rude...but...

First of all, the top 3 doctors I wanted to go see aren't on our insurance.

No insurance=no go.

So I decided to go with a dr. who I have actually heard mixed reviews on (All great reviews but one, and I do trust the one's opinion...), but he fits the following criteria-

1. Close by
2. Will try a VBAC, if all else is well
3. Delivers at Banner Gateway
4. Loved by some friends who had fertility issues because he was sensitive and helpful.

It is Dr. Huish

Next...to the "I don't mean to sound rude" part. I have obviously opened up on here about our fertility/infertility that we are dealing with. Anyone who knows me AT ALL knows that I deal with things by talking about them, around them, through them, over them, ETC! But, that being said, this is a weird and crappy and unchartered territory in our lives. It's strangely private, yet public. I don't mind that people know, but, I want people to know on my terms....
is that weird?
Does that make any sense?
Is that fair?

Here's the thing...I kinda hate it when people say,

"How's the pregnancy/trying/fertility/infertility stuff going?"
Because people, unless you hear from me that I'm pregnant, then the answer is,

"Not as well as we would like..."

So, when I talk about it, ask questions about it, etc. here on the blog, please PLEASE feel free to chime in, give me advice, tips, names of people who have been through it, etc. But in person, via email, etc., please don't ask me how it's going. It gets really depressing to keep saying, "Well, we're still trying..." because in my mind it really just sounds like "Well, we're still failing."

Know what you mean! I hated that...even though I talked about it A LOT but I wanted to always be the one to bring it up. Hope you like Dr. Huish.

A few thoughts...

1. The firm I used to work for designed the Banner Gateway (NBBJ, www.nbbj.com) - glad to know you prefer it as your place to deliver. I've always wanted to see it in person, the pics look gorgeous.

2. I didn't know you had troubles with conception or delivery - I did read a few comments here and there on previous blog posts from you, things like you had a hard time getting pregnant and such, but I didn't know the story... if you do feel up to it, I'd like to know what happened. Only if you want to share of course.
Besides being nosy and concerned, I do appreciate all these blogging women sharing their stories. It helps us all learn from each other. Even though I haven't had fertility issues (fingers crossed), I could in the future, or I could have a friend or loved one have similar issues and would love to pass along any wisdom you have garnered.

3. Like I said, I don't know what you had to go through to get Jaxon here, but wow, he's one gorgeous little boy. And I'm sure what you had to go through makes you love him that much more.

4. I totally agree about people pressing you about getting pregnant. I hated getting asked this question even when we weren't trying to conceive. When someone wants to share that information, trust me, they will!

xoxo

My thoughts and prayers are with you! I don't think you are being rude at all. I would probably be even more reserved than you. If there is anything I can ever do to help seriously let me know. And I will try not to look so cute, hehe.
And on that note, that long dress you wore a couple sundays ago looked stunning on you!

Ash- I know what you mean about people asking all of the time. It is so hard. I'm sorry. We had issues conceiving #3. We tried for almost 2 year. I always had people telling me, well, atleast you were blessed with two beautiful children... which was true, but as a mom, you know in your heart if there are more kiddos waiting to join your family. I tried clomid and a few other things. One in particular that I felt like helped. Email me if you want to chat. haleigh5@cox.net {{{HUGS}}}}

I don't live in AZ anymore, so can't recomend an OB. But, been there done that on the other things and if you want to email me I can give you my phone number to chat or vent. I completly understand where your coming from and know how frustrating it is. Hope things get better. I can email you details or tell you more, but not through a comment

I'm glad you found a doctor that meets all your criteria. Let's hope this doctor exceeds your expectations.
And you don't sound rude at all. I think it's great to inform people so they know how you'd like to be supported.
You rock, Ash.
We love you. And hope & pray all goes well.

Ah...a fellow boat member in infertility. It does suck. Nice to know people care, but sometimes you just don't wanna talk about it until you are pregnant. As you may have read, we FINALLY got pregnant again. It took 1 1/2 years. At 8 weeks, we told the world thinking the hard part was over...only to find out we are now miscarrying. Guess we spoke a little too soon. So, we rejoin you in this adventure.

First off, I have to say "I love Dr. Bullaro-Anderer (Deanna to me) cuz she is a very very close family friend and has been my OBGYN for 7 years. However, most OB's don't get into a whole lot of fertility stuff. Even being really good friends, Deanna sent me to a fertility specialist...expensive and all out of pocket. I have a couple friends struggling with the same issue and just aren't ready to go to a specialist, but can't find an OB that will treat infertility either. It's such an emotional roller coaster...I certainly feel for you. Good luck and if you end up liking dr. huish, please let me know, so I can pass along the helpful info.

Hey Ash,, sorry it taking me so long to get back to about what I have used. Oh by the way dr. huish is my OB and I love him. I tried another ob but didn't like them as much as dr huish. Good luck with him. I hear he is very understanding with fertility.

k, the pills that I used is call Chirozyme (that the brand)
T10 to L1 (this the name, it for the female gland). I called around different places around here in the valley and nobody had it. I think only chiropractors carry it and only certain ones. My cousin Mike Bowman in Snowflake, az carries them.

He has a lot of stories where woman can't get pregnant and they go see him for a udjustment then he gives them these pill and they are pregnant with in months. True i am one of them, I can go in for a adjustment and won't get pregnant tell I take these pills. Crazy!!

Oh the ingredient in these pills are dong Quai, wild yam, Yucca, chaste tree, raspberry, pregnenolone, and proprietary plant enzyme blend which are protease, alpha-amylase, cellulase, acid stable protease, alpha-galactosidase, glucoamylase, hemicellulase, and lipase.

I remember you asking a certain ingredient, i don't remember so that why i list it all. Good luck, if you have any question call me or email.
